ARKEMA FRANCE: CARIVAL PRODUCES THE BOILER 'CONDOR REC 8000'

The steam generator Condor Rec 8000 recovers energy of hot exhaust gases to produce steam. The boiler body is made of high quality sheet metal and external planking is protected by anti-rust paint. The evaporating mirror is located above the tube bundle, so that the tubes below are never without water thanks to a level fluctuation. The space between the water level and the external planking is used for generated steam gathering, thereby giving good flexibility to changes in load. The steam, before leaving the generator, goes through a steam trap specifically designed and sized to provide a large amount of steam.

BIOMASS RESEARCH CENTER IN PISA: BIO-HOKV 130 BOILER BRANDED STANDARDKESSEL ITALIANA

Carival Srl, manufacturer of industrial and civil boilers for over 40 years under StandardKessel and Carimati brands, has, during time, carried out projects and research concerning biomass plants. The technical and professional skills in this particular field allowed a collaboration with the Interuniversity Energy Biomass Research Centre of Pisa (CRIBE), for which Carival designed and produced a biomass thermal oil generator model Bio-Hokv 130. The Bio-Hokv 130 is a monobloc, pressurized, three smoke passes, tube nest, continuous spiral wounded generator with a capacity of 100.000 Kcal/h and 10 bar pressure. Besides supplying the generator, Carival also cooperated with CRIBE by developing the installation regarding the connection between the boiler and the indirect steam generator and the automatic control of the whole system through a software that manages all variables concerning combustion process and various parameters. In accordance with the changes in the field of environmental sensibility, Carival builds installations characterised by minimum combustible consumption, regeneration of produced energy and low operating costs by designing and selecting the structure’s dimensions and peculiarities due to mathematical models aimed at granting and maintaining auto-combustion inside the generator. Among Carival’s products, smoke tube generators include Condor Classic (three smoke passes steam and pressurized hot water generators with a maximum capacity of 15.000.000 Kcal/h), Condor Automat (reverse flame in combustion chamber, maximum capacity 1.800.000 Kcal/h) and Mito (hot water boilers suitable for medium and high capacities up to 4.000.000 Kcal/h). Water tube generators, such as Condor FD, have been designed for high capacities and are the best solution for those installations that require an elevated quantity of steam in every working condition. Condor Rapid is a forced circulation generator: monobloc, pressurized, three smoke passes, double rank of pipes and spiral wounded in two concentric cylinders. Thermal oil multitubular generator HoKh is extremely long-lasting and suitable for high capacities: the circulation of oil inside the pipes is set to avoid possible overheating and therefore degradation through cracking. At last, a new range of high efficiency hot water generators for civil use branded StandardKessel Italiana is under construction.
